Elaine Franklin is a Director of the Center for Healthcare Leadership in the School of Medicine at Emory University, and is the Director of Assessment at Global Access Learning, Inc., an international executive education and management development consulting firm. She has been a visiting lecturer at Emory University’s College, Goizueta Business School, and Candler School of Theology. While completing post-graduate work in the Department of Educational Studies at Emory University, Ms. Franklin was an Associate Director of the Emory Reading Clinic. She obtained an M.Ed. from Georgia State University while teaching in the DeKalb County School System, and graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Education from Abilene Christian University where she was appointed and elected to numerous leadership roles.

Elaine has specialized in the teaching, training, and coaching of individuals for over 25 years. She presents seminars about learning styles and personality types within organizations, and she is certified to use various assessment instruments which are helpful in individual and organizational development planning. She is experienced in executive coaching and 360 degree feedback processes. With other members of the Center for Healthcare Leadership, she has helped create a 360° survey, survey report, guide for development, and coaching process especially designed for the healthcare industry.

She has worked with senior, mid-level and supervisory managers in organizations including: Hoechst Celanese Corporation, Johnson and Johnson, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, MCI Telecommunications, Kaiser Permanente, Emory Healthcare, CARE, Young Life of Atlanta, and the Graduate Institute of Management and Technology in Johannesburg, South Africa.
